Cytotec is a trade name of Misoprostol which is a synthetic analogue of prostaglandin El. The main task of Cytotec consists in the reduction of synthesis of the hydrochloric acid in the gastric juice and a fast healing of ulcers in the mucosa of the gastro-intestinal tract.
Misoprostol increases the production of the protective mucus on the walls of the digestion tract and also improves the blood circulation in the mucous membrane. It helps to resist the irritating action of the hydrochloric acid and stimulate a faster heeling of ulcers.
The use Cytotec reduces the intense symptoms of the ulcers of stomach and duodenum: stomachache, heart burning, and gastric hemorrhage. Cytotec blocks the production of the hydrochloric acid during eating and at night, when there is a probability of the increased basal level of the hydrochloric acid in the content of the gastric juice.
